About the François-Lamy Foundation
Preserving and promoting memory sites tied to the roots of Île d’Orléans is the mission of the François-Lamy Foundation. With a passion for heritage, history, and genealogy, our team welcomes the public at two museums in Sainte-Famille, on Île d’Orléans: the Maison de nos Aïeux, a local history center, and the Maison Drouin, an authentic historic home.
What we’re looking for
- Welcome visitors to the Maison de nos Aïeux and/or the Maison Drouin;
- Give short guided tours and answer questions;
- Offer support for genealogy research.
Skills we’re looking for
- Interest in history and genealogy;
- Comfortable interacting with the public;
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
- Ability to get to the sites (car required);
- Fluency in spoken and written French; good spoken English is an asset.
