The exhibition Quebec 1775: The American Siege offers an accessible and well-documented perspective on a little-known episode of Quebec's history. Through a series of panels, illustrations, archival documents, testimonies, and historical maps, it reveals the diverse experiences lived during the siege of Quebec City by the 13 Colonies rebels: those of the military, civilians, Indigenous communities, and the inhabitants of Île d'Orléans.
This exhibition is a co-production of the Société du patrimoine urbain de Québec, the Îlot des Palais, and the Fondation François-Lamy, created in partnership with Bibliothèque et Archives nationales du Québec (BAnQ) and the Ministry of Culture and Communications.
